Fairmount Strings

Fairmount String Quartet

Called “rousing and warmhearted” by the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Fairmount String Quartet has been a staple of the Philadelphia chamber music scene since 1984. In addition to performances at numerous venues throughout the city they have also toured in Italy and Costa Rica. They very much enjoy their collaborations with other artists, including both professional and student instrumentalists, choirs and dancers. Committed educators, they have presented educational programs including concerts, residencies, workshops and master classes.

Our musicians will work with presenters and educators to custom tailor a program appropriate to your audience. We have programs that speak to chamber music enthusiasts, newcomers to classical music, pop music lovers, and educational programs for all ages. All programs include talks about the works we will perform.
