Our members are full-time musicians who, in addition to performing at the highest level, conduct themselves in a professional, courteous manner and do their utmost to create the event and sound that our clients have envisioned.
Louise Jaffe received a Master's Degree in Viola Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Viola from the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts (currently called The University of the Arts) in Philadelphia, PA. Former teachers include Heidi Castleman, Charles Castleman, Donald Weilerstein, Mitchell Stern, and Edgar Ortenberg. Chamber music coaches include members of the Cleveland, Tokyo and Fine Arts Quartets.
Upon graduating from Eastman, Ms. Jaffe performed in the Shelbourne Quartet and the Cascade Quartet, professional string quartets based in Great Falls, Montana. Since then, she has participated in numerous recitals in the United States and abroad. This includes performances in Zurich, Boltigen, and Castasegna, Switzerland, as well as numerous locations in the Philadelphia area. Currently, Louise is a member of Elysian Camerata, ViVaCe Strings, Chadds Ford Strings, Fairmount Chamber Ensemble, and the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra. She has performed with many orchestras including Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra, Delaware Symphony, Allentown Symphony, and the Pennsylvania Opera Theater.
Louise's other love is teaching. Her students range from 3 year olds just beginning to play the violin or viola, to advanced pupils of all ages, including adults. Ms. Jaffe maintains an active teaching studio of more than 35 students. Louise’s goal with all of her students is to instill a lifelong love of music. She believes that studying an instrument teaches the art of discipline and perseverance which will carry over into many other aspects of life.
Louise enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and discovering all that life has to offer.
