Fairmount Strings

Fairmount Strings have been providing elegant and festive music for wedding ceremonies and receptions for 30 years. Our unparalleled quality, experience, and professionalism has earned us the privilege of playing at the weddings of musicians from the The Philadelphia Orchestra, Saturday Night Live band, Boyz II Men, multiple Grammy winners — and countless music lovers, like you.

With all our experience comes an unrivaled commitment to working well with others. First and foremost, we focus on you. Our principal member guides you through the process, providing as much or as little direction as you need. Our musicians collaborate seamlessly with officiants, wedding planners, organists and vocalists to ensure that your day is perfect. Want a friend or family member to sing at your wedding? Our musicians will put them at ease, so that they can perform their very best for you.

The range of our musicians provides you with the customization and flexibility that you expect. A string quartet — two violins, one viola, and cello — offers a large and versatile repertoire. The rich sound and diversity of selection makes this group our most popular choice. For weddings in a more intimate setting, a string trio can be the perfect fit for those couples focused on the classics. A duo, such as flute and harp or violin and guitar provide even another layer of flexibility in a space that is equipped for amplification. On the other end of the spectrum, a full orchestra provides a lush sound that is not easily forgotten. Whatever your needs, our ultimate goal is to ensure that your day is everything you’ve dreamed of, and more.
